My UX/UI path started during my studies in TAMK. I’ve always been interested in graphic design, but during my study years I found the calling for user interfaces and experiences. I found out that designing information and interactions and creating something that serve functional purpose for the end users was really meaningful for me.

During my studies I participated in multiple application porjects where my role was to design bot user interface and experience. After my graduation I’ve been working in many commercial projects in the same role for more than 10 years.

I’ve been designing UI and UX for multiple different solutions like logistics, inventory management, indoor air measurements, healthcare, retail, education and traffic control.

Besides UI and UX design, I’ve also got my feet wet in the field of frontend development. I am fluent in HTML, CSS, Php and JavaScript (familiar with many libraries like Vanilla and jQuery). I also have basic knowledge of TypeScript which I’m currently studying on my own time.

For me, good usability, accessibility and responsivity are the key factors while working on a website. Websites are nearly never final, there is always room for improvement and changes according to the changing needs of times and customers. That’s why I hold flexibility in high value and it is important that the sites I’ve developed are easy to update (both in sense of content and functionalities).

I have build many many sites from the scratch using ether Wordpress CMS or web commerce platforms like Shopify or MyCashFlow. Web development projects I have participated vary from basic company sites to news sites, artist agencies, festivals, campaigns and so on.

For me it is not only important that web sites are built well, they also need to be design so that they really serve their purpose and look valid for end users. From the beginning of my professional carrier I’ve been involved with web design. I approach it a lot like UI/UX design, user’s needs and purpose of the site is the most important thing to keep in mind when starting with designing of the content and the structure. After made sure that these two requirements are met, one can polish the outcome to please the eye.

It is important that the designs look good, but more important it is that the message we want send is communicated well. The form has to meet the essence of the content.

I’ve done graphic designing for more than 20 year’s now, not only as professional work but also for as a hobby. This given me a keen eye in aesthetics, which has been beneficial while working with user interfaces and websites. It has also makes me more independent when working with these projects since I’m able to solve most of these issues by myself.
